Patricio Clarey, born in 1978, is a digital artist with a degree in Fine Arts who has worked in the publishing industry for over 12 years.
In 2011, he published his first graphic novel, 15M: Voices of a Revolution, in collaboration with writer Lara Fuentes, with Panini Comics in Spain. Septagon Studios released issues 1, 2, and 3 of his graphic novel Archeologists of Shadows in digital format for the North American market.
He later returned to publish with Panini Comics Spain, through their new editorial line Evolution Comics, his third graphic novel The Shadow of Don Quixote (La Sombra de Don Quijote).
His work has also been featured in specialized digital art books, such as Exposé 9 and Exposé 11 by Ballistic Publishing; LeewiART: The Comics (China), a collection showcasing the work of 12 international CG artists; and CG Characters: From Sketch to Finish, published by Dopress Books (China).
His main creative references include films like the original Star Wars trilogy, Terminator, Apocalypse Now, The Matrix, Fight Club, and The Lord of the Rings, among others. In the comic world, he admires Alan Moore and Dave McKean.
