Created in 1995 and stubborn since 1997, I have always tried to balance my passion for art and science because I suffer from excessive curiosity. I try that all my illustrations are endowed with narrative and in some cases with scientific knowledge. Many times, mistakenly, seriousness is confused with professionalism. In my case, I try to convey that science can be fun while still transmitting accurate and relevant information. I have not wanted to abandon my imagination and I like to create universes full of characters with contradictions and nonconformists. Many of my influences are based on a childhood full of 90s cartoons, an adolescence full of outsiders in a true Tim Burton style and all the experiences of a shy and unsociable medical student, addicted to reading and movies.
I like to think that my illustrations awaken the inner child in that we all have hidden inside and take us to that magical childhood where there were no hours and we could be whoever we wanted. My universes are based on references from animated series like Adventure Time, Midnight Gospel or magic series like Kidding or Dispatches from Elsewhere always with sarcastic brushstrokes, full of humor and sometimes a little dark under the influence of Edward Gorey or Hunter S. Thompson.
