Mono Blanco creates illustrations for SAPIENS’ new equality campaign through everyday moments
Your Content Goes Here At June Illustration, we understand illustration as a powerful tool capable of transforming complex ideas into relatable, engaging and vibrant visual stories. In this project, our illustrator Mono Blanco has created a series of illustrations for the new SAPIENS campaign, designed to be featured on sweatshirts and T-shirts. You can view his portfolio here:https://www.june-illustration.com/agencia-de-ilustracion-ilustradores-mono-blanco/ Rather than presenting an abstract concept, the visual proposal is built around everyday scenes: children playing, people talking, spontaneous moments of interaction where diversity appears naturally and authentically. Mono Blanco’s style — defined outlines, vibrant colour palettes and clean compositions — brings an accessible and direct visual language to the project. The characters, full of expression and movement, convey energy, closeness and genuine human connection. Illustration that connects One of the project’s greatest strengths lies in the way the illustrations avoid obvious visual clichés and instead focus on what truly matters: human relationships. There are no forced hierarchies or exaggerated protagonists; each character becomes part of a shared scene where interaction itself takes centre stage. The result is a collection of illustrations that work on multiple levels: As visually striking graphics applied to fashion As a universal visual language that any audience can relate to As a vehicle for a social message, while maintaining authenticity and simplicity Design applied to fashion The adaptation of these illustrations to textile formats further enhances their impact. By becoming part of sweatshirts and T-shirts, the artworks take on a new dimension: they stop being simple images and become messages people can wear. Through this campaign, SAPIENS embraces an honest and contemporary form of communication, where diversity is not presented as a concept, but [...]
Albert Espí illustrates the cover of Aware Magazine for its Winter 2025 issue
At June Illustration, we love sharing projects in which illustration brings not only visual beauty, but also conceptual depth. On this occasion, our illustrator Albert Espí created an illustration for Aware Magazine, the publication of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, whose website features the Winter 2025 issue. Albert’s artwork offers a composition rich in visual meaning, where different moments of community life coexist within the same symbolic space: preaching, reading, listening, prayer, support, and acts of care toward others. All of this is articulated through a circular, immersive structure, accompanied by a warm colour palette that reinforces the idea of connection, introspection, and shared humanity. The result is an illustration with strong narrative power, created to accompany an editorial and institutional context through a contemporary visual language that is thoughtful, refined, and full of sensitivity. We are delighted to see Albert’s work featured in a publication such as Aware Magazine, where the image helps strengthen the message while providing a solid and evocative visual identity. If you haven’t discovered Albert’s work yet, you can view his portfolio here: https://www.june-illustration.com/en/albert-espi/
Andrea Castro Illustrates the Textbook Dime 6 for Sanoma Utbildning
At June Illustration, we continue to take on valuable editorial projects, and on this occasion we would like to share the work created for Dime 6, a resource for teaching Spanish published by the Swedish publisher Sanoma Utbildning. According to its catalogue, it is a Spanish textbook for 6th grade, focused on communication. The illustrations for this project were created by our illustrator Andrea Castro Naranjo, a visual artist and illustrator with experience in editorial illustration and children’s books. Her warm and expressive style is particularly well suited to projects in which the imagery must support educational content and make it more accessible, dynamic, and engaging for students. For us, taking part in educational publications such as Dime 6 is a way of putting illustration at the service of learning. The images not only enrich the book visually, but also help reinforce concepts, spark curiosity, and create a friendlier and more stimulating reading experience. At June Illustration, we would like to thank Sanoma Utbildning for the trust they have placed in our team, and we especially celebrate the excellent work Andrea has done on this project. You can discover more about Andrea Castro Naranjo in her portfolio: https://www.june-illustration.com/en/illustration-agency-illustrator-andrea-castro
